AGM Elections 2022

BCHPA will hold its 2022 Annual General Business Meeting on Friday, October 14th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (Pacific Time) in-person in Kamloops and online using Zoom Meeting.
BCHPA bylaws state that in an even-numbered year (2022) elections shall be held for the position of President, Canadian Honey Council Rep, Regional Reps, and interim Secretary.
All of our regional representatives are also elected at each AGM. Nominations for these positions are now open.

Nominations for these positions are therefore now open and will be until the election at the AGM.

President: Heather Higo (elected 2020, eligible to run for another term)
Treasurer: Irene Tiampo (elected 2020, eligible to run for another term)
Canadian Honey Council Rep: Stan Reist (elected 2020, eligible to run for another term)
Secretary: Jennifer Dilfer (is stepping down one year into her term)

Persons nominating and to be nominated must be BCHPA members and residents of BC or Yukon. Nominees will have the opportunity to accept or decline the nomination prior to the election. Duties of the Table Officer positions are in our bylaws on our website under “About Us”. Regional Reps generally facilitate communication between Table Officers and members in their regions, such as keeping in touch with their regional beekeeper groups, joining some executive meetings, and providing written reports for each issue of BeesCene.
